Solutions for Remote Areas | DAY 2 | 1:30-3pm
Jon Hardwick has been working at the University of Exeter since 2012 initially conducting research into turbulent eddies at a tidal energy sites.
Jon has worked on the DTOcean project, an EU FP7 funded project creating a design tool for ocean energy arrays of wave and tidal energy converters. He then worked on the FaBTest wave energy test site managing oceanographic data and analysis. He is currently working on the Intellegent Community Energy (ICE) project. An Interreg-Channel funded project investigating smart energy solutions for remote communities.
Alongside employment as a research associate Jon is currently studying towards a PhD looking at mathematical uncertainity in wave and tidal models.
Before coming to Exeter Jon studied Mathematics and Physics at the University of Bath.
